Lab-Grown Diamond Wedding Rings vs Natural

All wedding rings we sell are available with either lab-grown or natural diamonds. Our lab-grown diamond wedding rings are exclusively IGI certified, laser-inscribed with their report number and grade, and physically identical to mined diamonds. Natural diamond wedding rings are GIA certified and chosen by those who value the rarity and provenance of a mined stone.

The two differ primarily in price, reflecting the difference in how they are produced. Both options are available across the collection, and the right choice comes down your personal preference.

Women's Wedding Ring Styles and Diamond Shapes

Our diamond wedding rings range from from plain bands and single row channel-set stones to eternity bands.

Round brilliant is the most versatile shape across women's diamond wedding rings and pairs cleanly with almost any engagement ring style. Oval diamonds work particularly well for those whose engagement ring also features an oval stone, creating a cohesive stack. Emerald cut delivers a long, clean look that suits a more minimal, architectural taste. Pear cut has a directional quality that suits those who want something more distinctive.

Pairing a Wedding Ring with an Engagement Ring

The most common consideration when choosing a woman's wedding ring is how it will sit with an existing ring. Most women traditionally match their wedding band metal to their engagement ring, but the more modern approach is to mix metals deliberately. Pairing 18ct white gold with 18ct yellow gold, for example, has become an increasingly popular choice. Metal does not need to match: the contrast can add depth and individuality to the stack. Band profile matters more.

A flat band sits flush with most settings. A court band suits plain-set solitaires. If the engagement ring has a raised or detailed setting, a shaped band is usually the better fit. Bring both rings to your wedding ring appointment, and our team will advise on what works.

Men's Wedding Rings

Men's wedding rings are available in plain court bands across 2mm, 4mm, and 6mm widths in the same metal range.

For couples buying together, their wedding rings do not need to match, but pairing well is worth thinking about. The most practical approach is to align on metal and vary width. Viewing both rings together at our store before you decide is the simplest way to get the balance right.

Find the Perfect Diamond Wedding Ring

Paragon Diamonds is the best place to buy a wedding ring in Glasgow, with the full collection available to view in person at 52 Argyll Arcade, G2 8BH. Most couples order wedding rings three to four months before the wedding, which leaves enough time for sizing, engraving, and any bespoke work without pressure.

If you cannot find what you are looking for, our bespoke ring design service can build your dream ring. All rings come with complimentary resizing. Book a bespoke appointment with Yalda or get in touch to arrange a visit.

Wedding Ring Engraving

Personal engravings are available on our wedding bands. A date, initials, or name inside the band is one of the most common additions and one of the simplest ways to make the ring feel like more than just jewellery. Mention it at your appointment or add it to your online order.

We find many couples are also choosing to incorporate their partner's birthstone into their wedding band as a way to add a personal and meaningful touch.

Frequently asked questions

How much should a wedding ring cost?

There is no fixed rule. Plain court wedding bands start from around £645 and diamond-set wedding rings start from around £875.

Do wedding rings have to match?

No. Matching wedding rings are a personal choice, not a rule. The more important consideration is that both rings sit comfortably together. Some mixed metals work well, and for her, the wedding ring should pair cleanly with the engagement ring without a gap or clash of profiles.

What metals are available for Paragon wedding rings?

Paragon wedding rings are available in platinum, 18ct white gold, 18ct yellow gold, 18ct rose gold, 9ct white gold, 9ct yellow gold, and 9ct rose gold.

Can I get an engraving on my wedding ring?

Yes. Personal engravings are available on most designs. Bring your request to your appointment, add it to your online order, or get in touch to confirm what is possible on a specific ring.

When should I order a wedding ring?

Most couples order wedding rings three to four months before the wedding. This allows time for sizing, engraving, and bespoke work without rushing. If you are creating a custom design through our bespoke ring service, allow additional lead time. Book a bespoke appointment with Yalda as early as possible to keep your options open.
